Family 2 Family Connection


  

The Family 2 Family Connection has proudly provided services in the Moapa Valley area since 2004.

Family to Family Connection builds upon the strengths of children, families, and communities to support the child within the family and the family within the neighborhood.

We encourage optimal child growth and development through community-based public and private partnerships.

The Family 2 Family Connection Program is an interactive based program that will not only provide children and parents with a pleasant program where they can interact and share ideas.  There is a variety of topics and solutions to parenting needs such as nutrition, infant massage, infant CPR, developmental groups, support groups, informal classes, and workshops. 

These are FREE classes for mothers and fathers with children ages 0-48 months. Space is limited please call to sign up.                            


           


School Readiness Classes Offered:


  • READING TIME- Sponsored by the Moapa Valley Library and Librarian Debbie Hamilton
  • BUDDING ARTIST – Art starts here for the little ones with fun art projects
  • EXPLORATION – This class will encourage your child to use his or her imagination in participating in free play using our new play stations
  • SCIENCE EXPLORATION – This class help your child explore the basic concepts of science through demonstrations and activities
  • ABC’s & 123’s - School readiness (3-4 years)  This program introduces children to more fine motor educational activities such as tracing, cutting, alphabet recognition, formulation for basic works, individual names and numbers, etc.  This class is also taught as bilingual every other Wednesday
  • BEGINNING ENGLISH & SPANISH – This class is designed to teach your child colors, numbers, and basic words in English & Spanish
  • CARS & TRUCKS - This class will consist of cars for the children to maneuver around the track and books on cars to read
  • BODY PARTS - This class is designed to help your child learn more about the different body parts in both English and Spanish.  Mr. and Mrs. Potato heads are the featured guests
  • MOVE & GROOVE - We will guide your child through a variety of musical fun using singing, dancing, and musical instruments
  • MAKE & TAKE - Discussion on nutrition with your child and complete a craft
  • CLOTHING/TOY EXCHANGE - Is it hard for you to keep up with your child’s constantly changing needs?  This class will be a great place for you to bring clothes or toys that your child has grown out of and give you a chance to pick up some new items that you could put to good use.  Kids get bored with toys so quickly that it is good to mix it up without spending a dime.  Please bring only clothes/toys that do not have holes or that are broken.  Leftover items can be used as a donation to Family to Family for families in need
  • DEVELOPMENTAL ASSESSMENTS (age specific) A one-on-one review of the Ages & Stages Questionnaire.  Assessments can be given after classes upon request.  Infants 2-12 months & Toddlers 12-48 months
